Sad news

by on Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

On July 4th the city of Nashville was rocked with the news of the murder of local football hero Steve McNair. It is starting to look like he was killed by his girlfriend of a couple of months. McNair was still married and was having an affair with a 20 year old girl. It looks to me like he was maybe trying to break off his affair and get back with his wife when the murder suicide took place. I feel very sorry for his wife and his sons and I hope that they move past this terrible event and get on with their lives. It was a sad day indeed.

Tomorrow a new movie comes out on DVD that I really want to get and the is the new Clint Eastwood movie Grand Torino. I wanted to go see this movie on the big screen but we never made and now it is coming out on DVD. I love Clint Eastwood and his movies have always been one of the first ones that I see when I have a choice on which movie to go I will chose one of his before many other actors. I can not it to see this movie and it will be one I add to my DVD collection as soon as it comes out.

Draft grade

by on Monday, April 27th, 2009

With the Football college draft over this weekend all the teams try to make themselves better and most of the teams did just that with one exception, The Oakland Raiders got the only F of the 32 teams drafting over the weekend. In my opinion as long as Al Davis has anything at all to do with the Raiders they are destined to be at the bottom of the heap in The National Football League. My teams the Tennessee Titans and the Arizona Cardinals did well in the draft both getting a B+ for their efforts in the draft. Now it is only weeks until mini camp and the training camp will be in July. The dry spell for football fans is over and now the count down to kick off is under way.

Rescued

The Captain of the hijacked ship in the African waters off of Somalia was rescued and the hijackers slain by the Navy Seals this weekend, and I am happy that no Americans lost their lives in this ordeal. I have some glimmer of hope that this rescue and the French Navy killing some hijackers last week will make the pirates think twice about boarding ships, they have gotten away with this pirate junk for way to long and I for one am very glad our government said no more and put an end to this hijacking. High marks to Obama and his administration for this act, now if they would use their brains about other things it would be good too.

Sons of legends

by on Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

A couple of sons of sports legends have been in the sports news this week. Jack Elway the son of John Elway has quit the football team at Arizona State University, saying that he was tired of football. To bad it looked like he might of been a chip off the old Elway football block.

In addition Michael Jordons son Marcus has made his selection of the school he that he has chosen to play basketball for. Central Florida is not a name program but I think it will be a good fit for the son of the greatest basketball player of all time to show his skills.
