New PlayStation Games are Rocking!

by on Monday, November 4th, 2013

This is probably the most exciting time ever for people who love to play PlayStation games. With the new PlayStation 4 coming out in a couple of weeks and a bunch of new games, guys everywhere are planning on dropping $500-$600 for their gaming entertainment. I know that I will be spending at least that, and I’ve already bought the new Battlefield game. The new Call of Duty comes out tomorrow. And then the new PS4. This month my bank account is going to take a heavy hit, but fuck it – I work my ass off and I deserve to have some fun at night.

The new Battlefield game is probably the most realistic first person shooter game ever developed. This games really rocks! The attention to detail is just fucking impressive. I think the new sighting and leading the shot on targets is fantastic. This game feels like a real battlefield and it is challenging as hell to survive when you play online against some of these other teams. Of course, I don’t know any of these other players personally, but I have to wonder how some of them are so good at this game. It makes me think there are some pro’s out there playing for practice. They can’t all be pimply faced teenaged boys with no life outside of their own bedrooms.

NFL Playoffs – or Not?

by on Sunday, January 13th, 2013

Today is the day that key football teams will find out if they are contenders in this year’s Super Bowl or not. My team folded a long time ago – they started out losing and never really caught up to get a wild card chance of playing. So most of us are watching to see if the teams we hate will lose, and which of the teams that are left on the field might be worthy of us cheering for them.

My own picks for who will play in the Super Bowl are the San Francisco 49’ers and the Baltimore Ravens. I’m not saying that I like either of those teams, I’m just picking them out of the rest of the teams still in the running as being able to pull off enough wins to make it to the Bowl. In a way, I hope my picks don’t prove true, because I don’t like either team. In fact, I despise the Ravens and think they are nothing but a bunch of overpaid thugs.

But, we’ll see by morning if my picks are still on track.

Zombies and Vampires

by on Sunday, October 7th, 2012

Took a quick walk through the toy department at Target and was impressed at the sudden presence of toy monsters. It seems like every toy line has a zombie or vampire version. Even the Barbie dolls have a Twilight Vampires line based on the hit movie series. Other dolls include “Monster High” fashion dolls. There are even monster legos sets – a whole series of ghosts, vampires, Frankensteins and mad scientists.

I wonder why everyone has such a fascination with zombies lately? There are zombie walks happening all over the world. I saw some photos of a zombie walk held in Canada – they were some freaky people in that parade, let me tell you! We are having a zombie walk here later this month. Downtown will be full of creepy people staggering around on the sidewalks – and not just tourists this time.

Video Game Addiction

by on Monday, September 24th, 2012

On impulse I picked up a video game while shopping at WalMart. Its a guy game – first person shooter. I’m pretty good at those and I can spend hours in the living room working my way through jungles, abandoned villages and city streets looking for enemies to take out.

We’ve got several different gaming systems here at the house and play just about any game except for the X-Box games. I’m just not willing to spend another $300 on one more video gaming system. I’ve got some buddies who have the X-Box and they swear by it. In a pinch I could probably hang out at their place for a few hours and play games on their system. But to be honest, I’d rather play at home alone and not have the distraction of other people watching or trying to talk to you while concentrating on my next target.

I’ll stick with my Playstation 3 and there are plenty of games for this system. most nights there is just crap on TV and I’d rather play a game than be forced to watch the crap they call entertainment on network TV and cable. Just don’t walk in front of me when I’m trying to get to the next level of my damn game.

game pieces

Took me a minute to figure out what this was about. I hate to admit that, but I was not thinking about Tetris when I first saw the graphic. I was trying to figure out if they were letters instead of game pieces and thought the joke was that they were spelling the word, “TEAM.” LOL
