Sad day

by Nazas on Sunday, August 16th, 2009

It has been 32 years since I was working and heard the very sad news that Elvis had died. It was a tough rest of the day at work for me. I had been an Elvis fan since I was old enough to walk, my mom played his albums all the time and I had very little choice, like him or move out, I mean a 4 year old could find a job and survive if he did not like Elvis in my moms house. I will turn on my old stereo and play some Elvis and light a candle later on for him too.

Band time

by Nazas on Saturday, May 30th, 2009

My almost seven year old grandson has decided that he wants to be in a band and to play a musical instrument. I am all for that, if that’s what he wants to do. He is still interested in football and baseball, add band to that and he will have a full schedule in school in the coming years. I started looking to find a site to buy musical instruments from and I found the perfect site at Shop Wiki they have a great web site with a lot of different products to choose from including musical instruments.

Davis has decided that he wants to play the trumpet and I found the perfect one for him on the Wiki site. I think it will be very good for David to learn to play an instrument and this will give him an exercise for his mind as well as all the exercise that he gets for his body at play and in sports. I never played in a band but I wish that I had, all the good looking girls were in the band and when I told David this he said ew girlsm that will change soon I am sure.

Willie Nelson

by Nazas on Saturday, February 28th, 2009

It seems that Willie Nelson has sung with just about everyone in the music business. I really do love most of the duets that he comes up with and we went to see the Last Of The Breed tour when it was here in Nashville. The songs with Ray Price and Merle Haggard were very good, it was a concert that I would go back again and again to see. We have made several trips to see Willie Nelson over the years and as long as he is going around doing concerts I will be in the crowd every time he comes here to Nashville.

Music

by Nazas on Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

As Christmas Day gets closer and closer, my kids have decided that they all three want new Ipods for their Christmas gift and then of course a lot of new music to go with it. After looking for many days it seems I have found the perfect site to select the music that I want to give as Christmas presents this year. Shop.com has a very nice web site with a grand selection of music to select from. Every thing from George Strait for me to Diana Krall for the girl. The web site is top notch and can be found at Shop.com, I was amazed to find such a great web site that had every thing I was looking for in one stop.

I know that all three of the kids would love this great web site too, but I think I will keep Shop.com as my secret place to shop for great music. One thing that really like beside not having to go out in the cold and fight through a huge crowd to buy music in the local store, you can listen to any thing on their site to make sure you like it before you buy it, now tell me the mall has a deal like that for you music shopping. On top of that they are always changing their music so you get the freshest music to select from and they give away some very nice signed memorabilia too. I can not wait for Christmas Day to see their faces at the new music I have selected for them this year.

Grand Old Opry

by Nazas on Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Here in Nashville the Grand Old Opry is a grand place to take family and friends when they visit, and it is a fantastic place for locals to go see the stars of country music all in one grand night of music and comedy. We have only been a couple of times but it has been a nice time had every time we go. I had always wanted to see Charlie Daniels and I got the chance to see him on that famous stage and he brought down the house with his performance. One thing I will never forget was watching Porter Waggoner just before he got sick and died last year it was a pleasure to see him preform for the last time.
