Final Paris France travel plans

by on Monday, July 28th, 2008

We have put the final parts of our trip to France together. We will be staying at the Hotel Paris for one night then we will be traveling to the ski resort and staying at a bed and breakfast Paris at its best.

After we go skiing we will stay at a Paris bed and breakfast on our way back home. This will be the trip of a lifetime and we can not wait to get ready to head to France to go skiing.

Some relief

by on Friday, July 25th, 2008

We are finally getting some relief from the high price of gasoline at the pumps, the price of regular unleaded is $3.77 here. I know it has a lot farther to go to get back to what we Americans can afford but every penny it drops helps. It should drop much more soon with the price of the barrel of oil dropping more this week. I hope that as the summer draws to a close we can close the book on this summer of hell trying to pay for products not only gasoline. If the price of gasoline drops the other products that have went up because of the price of fuel should drop some too. It is good to get a little relief finally.

When we take our trip to France we will be staying over a couple of days in Paris, it is a place I have always wanted to visit and we are going to take advantage of this ski trip to do just that.

I have been looking at a very nice web site with a lot of information about Paris and the Hotel Paris that we are going to stay at is on the web site, with a lot of France photos to liven up the web site it is very nice. Check it out at, they have a lot of information to assist you in choosing sites to see in France.

Bad day in Texas

by on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

It has been a bad weather day in Texas with hurricane Dolly coming ashore, with a lot of rain and winds over 85 MPH Dolly is wrecking havoc everywhere in her path. We sometimes get a little wind and rain from hurricanes but that is about it. I have been in a couple of hurricanes in my younger days and I for one would not live in a hurricane area. I would rather deal with the few tornado’s that we get here, no floods no hurricanes in my future.

Ski club

I have been a member of the local ski club for almost twenty years, and the trip this year I have made plans to go on has me very excited. We will be going to France to ski in the Alps this year. I have always wanted to ski France and see the great slopes in the Alps and this year will be my chance. The trip is going to Espace Killy and I can not wait.

The places we have went on ski club trip have included Canada and many places in the United States but to take this great trip to France is a trip of a lifetime, ski holidays in France have long been a dream of mine and now I get to fill that dream, I can not wait for this great trip.

The talk of the meeting of the ski club was to go to France skiing and the trip sheet filled up very fast, now the only spots are on the waiting list. I am very glad we got on the list early. We have our passports and we are very much ready for this great trip to Espace Killy France. My first trip to Europe will be one that I remember the rest of my life.
